About Me

I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School as an actor, and my acting background spans theatre, TV and film, as well as radio and other voicework.

Along the way I accidentally did a Master's degree in Playwriting, a skill that's proved handy for scripting training and marketing videos; Forum Theatre pieces and playlets for business; and  sketches for drama student showcases.

I began my voicework in pre-digital days, for independent film and TV, the BBC World Service, BBC Natural History, and many Radio 3 and 4 features and stories. I've also been the voice of museum and travel guides, commercials, dubbing, IVR and corporate narrations.

In the world of business, I've devised and delivered theatre-based training and coaching to countless people needing help with presentations and conversations, often using Roleplays and/or Forum Theatre.  These days, I'm increasingly asked for help with developing skills and confidence at videoconferencing (on Zoom, Teams etc.). It always delights me to see the huge improvements anyone can make by trying out a few small changes.

My other loves are watercolours, poetry-writing, and tending my tiny garden - bliss...
